Faith is something special. I believe that I am a person of faith and I hope that I always will be. Faith is so simple but so powerful. There are countless events in the scriptures that show the power that faith has: the brother of Jared had so much faith that he saw God's finger. Faith really can move mountains. Miracles happen according to our faith. I look up to faithful saints so much, and I want to have as much faith as they do.

"By definition, trials will be trying. There
may be anguish, confusion, sleepless nights, and pillows wet with tears. But
our trials need not be spiritually fatal. They need not take us from our
covenants or from the household of God." —Neil L. Andersen (Trial of Your Faith)
·
"I have found that, rather than dwelling on
the negative, if we will take a step back and consider the blessings in our
lives, including seemingly small, sometimes overlooked blessings, we can find
greater happiness." —Thomas
S. Monson (Consider the Blessings)
·
"The scriptures enlarge our memory by helping
us to remember the Lord and our relationship to Him and the Father. They remind
us of what we knew in our premortal life. And as these things penetrate our
minds and hearts, our faith in God and His Beloved Son takes root." —Todd
Christofferson (How to Build Faith in God
Through Scripture)
·
"How do you remain 'steadfast and immovable'
during a trial of faith? You immerse yourself in the very things that helped
build your core of faith: you exercise faith in Christ, you pray, you ponder
the scriptures, you repent, you keep the commandments, and you serve
others." —Neil
L. Andersen (Trial of Your Faith)
·
"Our faith is centered in God, our Father, and
in His Son, Jesus Christ, our Savior and Redeemer. It is bolstered by our
knowledge that the fulness of the gospel has been restored to the earth, that
the Book of Mormon is the word of God, and that prophets and apostles today
hold the keys of the priesthood. We treasure our faith, work to strengthen our
faith, pray for increased faith, and do all within our power to protect and
defend our faith." —Neil
L. Andersen (Trial of Your Faith)
·
"You show your trust in [God] when you listen
with the intent to learn and repent and then you go and do whatever He asks. If
you trust God enough to listen for His message in every sermon, song, and
prayer in this conference, you will find it. And if you then go and do what He
would have you do, your power to trust Him will grow, and in time you will be
overwhelmed with gratitude to find that He has come to trust you." —Henry B. Eyring
(Trust in God, Then Go and Do)
·
"When faith is properly understood and used,
it has dramatically far-reaching effects. Such faith can transform an
individual’s life from maudlin, common everyday activities to a symphony of joy
and happiness." —Richard
G. Scott (The Transforming Power of Faith
and Character)
·
"Let us do whatever is required to qualify for
the Holy Ghost as our companion, and then let us go forward fearlessly so that
we will be given the powers to do whatever the Lord calls us to do. That growth
in power to serve may come slowly, it may come in small steps that are
difficult for you to see, but it will come.” —Henry B. Eyring, (Serve with the Spirit)
·
"To develop enduring faith, an enduring
commitment to be a full-tithe payer is essential. Initially it takes faith to
tithe. Then the tithe payer develops more faith to the point that tithing
becomes a precious privilege." —Russell M. Nelson (Face the Future with Faith)
·
"People can change. They can put behind their
bad habits. They can repent from transgressions. They can bear the priesthood
worthily. And they can serve the Lord diligently." —Thomas S.
Monson (See Others as They May Become)
